秋晴れの蓼科でTR3A幌張り
Fitting the Soft Top on a Triumph TR3A under the Autumn Sun of Tateshina
幌を張るのは、春か秋の暖かい日が最適と言われています。
夏に張ると、気温が高く生地が柔らかいため、かなり強く張らないと冬にはダルんでしまいます。
逆に冬は幌が硬く縮んでしまい、相当温めなければ綺麗に張れません。
It is often said that the best time to fit a soft top is during a mild spring or autumn day.
If fitted in midsummer, the material stretches too easily and will sag loosely once the cold season arrives.
In winter, the fabric becomes stiff and must be thoroughly warmed before it can be stretched neatly into place.
ここ蓼科では、秋の日中の限られた暖かい時間が勝負です。
幌を日向に置いてしっかり温め、柔らかくなったところで午後に一気に張り込みます。
少しコツのいるTR3Aの幌ですが、何度も経験しているので迷うことはありません。
Here in Tateshina, the window of warm daytime sunlight is short during autumn.
We place the hood in the sun to soften it thoroughly, then fit it in one go during the warmer afternoon.
The TR3A top requires a bit of technique, but after many installations, the process feels natural.
今回もテンションやスナップの位置がぴたりと決まり、美しく張り上がりました。
幌のラインもクラシック・ブリティッシュ・ロードスターらしい、張りのある姿に。
しばらくは張りっぱなしにして、生地をしっかり馴染ませていきます。
Once again, the tension and snap alignment came together perfectly,
resulting in a taut and elegant profile—just as a proper British roadster should have.
We’ll keep it fitted for a while to allow the material to settle naturally.

富士スピードウェイで開催されたMAZDA FAN FESTA at FUJI SPEEDWAYに、ヨシムラ×シンフォニックパーツが合同出展しました。
今回のメイン展示は、二車界で伝説的な存在である「ヨシムラTMR-MJNキャブレター」をベースに、四車用に新開発された Yoshimura TMR-MJN41 “4W Twin Carburetor Kit” 。
これを搭載した Lotus Europa (Twin Cam) を展示し、イベント中には実際にエンジンを始動するデモンストレーションを行いました。
エンジンが始動した瞬間、鋭い吸気サウンドが会場中に響き渡り、たちまち人だかりに。
「ヨシムラの音がクルマから!?」と驚きと歓声が上がり、多くの来場者の関心を集めました。
ヨシムラの精密な技術とシンフォニックパーツの発想力、そしてクラシックカーの魅力が結びついた、新たな挑戦となりました。

At the MAZDA motorsport event held at Fuji Speedway,
Yoshimura Japan and Symphonic Parts, together with Kunimori Motors, showcased a groundbreaking collaboration.
The highlight was the Yoshimura TMR-MJN41 “4W Twin Carburetor Kit”, a four-wheel adaptation of Yoshimura’s legendary motorcycle carburetor.
Installed on a Lotus Twin Cam engine, this system was demonstrated live at the event.
As soon as the Lotus Europa roared to life, the sharp induction sound filled the air and drew a large crowd.
